This young crew came out of the gate hard for the first week. The posted picture shows what happens if you don't pace yourself. The last few mornings on the train have been pretty quite. except for the elders (Silvers as they call us). They have been pretty chatty in the halls at night so we make sure our train chat is enthusiastic. 1000M men today, should be exciting. Lots of tension in the building. One of my Russian team mates takes pride in practicing his English on me with somewhat amusing jokes. He strolled up to me yesterday and asked "Were is the bread?" OK I'll bite, "Were is the Bread?" "No no, the Bread the Bread"! As if repeating something twice, rapidly would help me to understand. Finally I had to confess to not understanding. "You know Breadly, he is not here...". Seems one of our Canadian posse, Bradley, was absent and only after reading his text message could I relay he was sick and not coming to the oval. The rapid Russian tongue. Bread / Brad. Chicken / Check-in. At least I didn't cluck eat a fictitious slice of bread. Lost in Translation
